The Peach Orchard was originally built in 1991 by owner Rudy Goedecke as a barn to prepare delicious peaches
Once literally a thriving peach orchard, now a legacy of love. The Peach Orchard venue started out as a retirement plan for lovers and owners Mr. and Mrs. Goedecke. The chapel was originally a barn built to prepare and store peaches from over 400 peach trees planted during the 90s by the pair. Built in 1991 by the owner, the chapel still features the exposed wood framing from its original structure. Nestled right in The Woodlands, the Goedecke family sold freshly picked fruit and addictive homemade jams and jellies. The barn turned chapel was affectionately named Rudy’s Promise and became an inspiration for the countless future promises made at its altar.
The climate-controlled chapel showcases a hand-carved antique fireplace, 70 year-old arched oak doors, and heirloom windows. Rudy’s cross is also on display inside the chapel on the altar. This special cross was hand-carved by him and his son in law. This spacious chapel is able to accommodate up to 225 guests for your wedding ceremony. On the other hand, you can have a larger ceremony at the venue’s max capacity of 300 guests using the outdoor space for your wedding. If you’re having a fall or winter wedding you might want to consider holding your ceremony in Phoebe’s garden. Right outside the beautiful ballroom, you’ll find large oak trees and flowering bushes in the well-manicured area.
Recently renovated, the 6,500 square foot ballroom features an open layout perfect for hundreds of guests and endless possibilities for your reception. The indoor/outdoor bar is serviced exclusively by Bar 1901. You’ll find the large bridal suite and groom’s quarters on opposite ends of the building. Each of the suites are decorated with modern chic furniture and décor. A double sided couch sits in the center of the bridal suite alongside a metal framed full length mirror and 4 makeup and hair stations. The groom-to-be can enjoy playing poker or pool with his groomsmen or catch up on SportsCenter in the groom’s quarters.
